Biography

 

Currently between São João da Madeira and Leiria (Portugal), I gave my first steps in photographic in august 2003, when I decided to buy a camera to take photos of those typical family moments.

 

Great part of my evolution and interest for photography truly started since the moment that I began participating in photo communities and by achieving knowledge from other photographers that I meet.

 

From experiences to experiences I went through many phase. First I was interested by natural environments, but since early days people revealed a more challenging and motivating theme. I started to capture peoples daily life moments, but with time, the "strangest" side of reality gained more interest for me, so i started trying to capture less common moments.
 

 

At a second phase, maybe influenced by the 6 years experience that i had in theatre, the search for new ways of representing reality took me to create stagings. Now, graphical treatment gained an important role, where I try to add a more personal aesthetic side in the forms and ambiences, where conceptualism and paintings are also a source of inspiration in some works.

Photography is now the way that I found to exteriorize my inner world, or as I call it, my "Meu Mundo de Ninguém" ("Nobody's World")
